Overview of Practice Management
The practice management in Acxite gives you a high-level, central view of every client/business you manage within your practice account.
Prerequisites
Before you can use the practice management dashboard, you must:
- Have an Admin or Owner account in Acxite.
- Have added at least one business to your practice account.
Practice Management Navigation
Step 1 – Navigate to the Practice Management page by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen and selecting ‘Practice Management’ from the dropdown menu.
The Practice Management portal is organised into three main sections:
- Practice Dashboard
- Practice Staff
- Practice Profile
Practice Dashboard
This dashboard is your command centre, allowing you to quickly check details like the last document upload date, the number of pending documents, or upcoming compliance deadlines for each business.
- Business Name: Clicking on the name will take you directly into that business’s accounting workspace.
- Business Type: Shows whether the business is a Limited Company, Sole Trader, etc.
- Document Counts: Displays the number of documents sorted by their current processing status, such as ‘Pending’ or ‘Processed’.
Practice Staff
The Practice Staff page is where you manage which of your staff members can access your Acxite practice account and the businesses within it. You can also assign overall ownership of the practice account to another user from this screen.

Practice Profile
The Practice Profile page allows you to customise the Acxite platform with your firm’s branding. By uploading your logo and company details here, you ensure a consistent and professional experience for any business owners you invite to collaborate within Acxite.

No, the practice management features are designed for a comprehensive overview and are only available in the Acxite web application.
Q: Can I add a new business directly from the practice dashboard?
The practice dashboard is for monitoring existing businesses. To add a new business to your practice, you must use the ‘Add Business’ function available in the main navigation menu of your account.
Q: What happens when I click on a business name in the dashboard?
Clicking on a business name will immediately take you out of the practice management view and into that specific business’s main Acxite dashboard, where you can manage its ledgers, run reports, and process its documents.
