Frequently Asked Questions
Do you issue VAT invoices?
Yes. Acxite is registered for VAT in the United Kingdom (VAT Reg: GB474687832). We issue proper VAT invoices to all UK-based customers. For international customers outside the UK, no VAT or GST is charged.
How does billing work?
You can choose between monthly or annual billing. Prices are per license — one license is one client business file. Our introductory offer gives you 90% off for the first 6 months, regardless of which billing cycle you choose.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. The Micro Business plan is free forever for one business, perfect for sole traders with low transaction volume. The Free Bridging plan allows for basic MTD filing at no cost. You only pay if you need to upgrade for more features or volume.
Is there a minimum contract?
No. There are no lock-in contracts or minimum terms. You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade your plan at any time.
Can I use Acxite for a one-off tax return?
Yes. Since there is no minimum term, you can sign up to file a specific return and cancel afterward if needed. The 90% discount still applies to your first 6 months.
Which plan is right for me?
Our plan names are Micro Business, Small Business, Growing Business, Free Bridging, and Easy Bridging. There is no card labelled “Sole Trader” — if you are a sole trader or have a small side hustle, the free Micro Business plan is the usual starting point when you want simple accounting and you do not need to file VAT returns through Acxite.
For filing VAT returns under MTD inside Acxite’s full accounting, choose Growing Business. The feature comparison shows Small Business without MTD VAT return filing; a VAT-registered business that needs that capability should use Growing Business (or Free Bridging / Easy Bridging if you only need spreadsheet-based bridging filing).
Limited companies and busier operations typically use Small Business or Growing Business depending on users and volume — use Growing Business when you need the VAT workflow in the table.

Are there discounts for Accountants?
Yes. If you manage multiple client businesses, you get automatic volume discounts. 10+ licenses (10+ client business files) get 30% off, 50+ get 40% off, and 100+ get 50% off. This is on top of the 6-month introductory offer.
Why is there a minimum quantity when I add plans to a bundle?
Under Accountants & Bookkeepers, bundles use minimum quantities and step sizes so firm pricing and volume discounts stay consistent: Easy Bridging starts at 20 licenses and increases in steps of 10; Small Business and Growing Business start at 10 and increase in steps of 5. The steppers cannot go below those minimums.
If you have fewer client businesses than the minimum, use Business Owners & Landlords to subscribe per business, or contact us to discuss options for your practice.
Do I need other software to use Acxite?
No. Acxite is a complete accounting platform with ledgers, reporting, and MTD filing. However, if you prefer to keep your records in Excel, you can use Free Bridging or Easy Bridging just for the tax filing part.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes. You can switch plans instantly from your dashboard. If you upgrade, the 90% discount will apply to the new plan for the remainder of your first 6 months.
